October 16, 2026 (Los Angeles, CA) – Today, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and architect of contemporary R&B Lucky Daye releases ALOUD!, a bold, sensual, and unapologetically personal 15-track album that finds him embracing complete creative freedom. Featuring Leon Thomas, Pusha T, Muni Long, The Paradox, and Akeem Ali, and with production from longtime collaborator D’Mile and an all-star roster of producers, ALOUD! is available now via Warner Records. Listen HERE.

Named for the tension between “allowed” and “aloud,” the album challenges the limits we place on ourselves and invites listeners to live, love, and move without permission. Born from an unexpected sabbatical in Brazil, ALOUD! captures Lucky at his most uninhibited, moving fluidly between intimate R&B, electronic textures, smoky grooves, and raw rock-soul.

“I used to think I wasn’t allowed to do a lot of what I wanted, but I realized I had to allow myself to live ALOUD!” says Lucky. “Don’t let anybody silence you or tell you who you’re supposed to be. Say what you want, move how you want, and dance your way through the hard times.”

Standouts include “Mouf Say” featuring Pusha T, a seductive, jazz-inflected slow burn; “Fly U Out” featuring Leon Thomas, a sultry reunion with his longtime collaborator; and “Knockin” featuring Muni Long and The Paradox, a raw rock-soul collision. Across the album, Lucky pushes beyond convention while keeping his unmistakable vocals and emotional candor at the center.

The release follows a standout run for Lucky, whose single “Nowhere Fast” has climbed into the Top 10 at R&B radio. He recently reunited with Leon Thomas on “Fly U Out” and released “Talk To Me,” a lush plea for romantic reconciliation. Beyond his own music, Lucky continues to make his mark through collaborations, including Teyana Taylor’s VMA-nominated “Hard Part” and Chris Brown’s “Slow Jamz.”

Last night, Lucky celebrated the arrival of ALOUD! at GRAMMY Museum Presents: The Drop, delivering a special performance and participating in an intimate conversation moderated by media personality Gia Peppers. The evening offered fans an up-close look at the creative vision behind his latest chapter.

With two GRAMMY® wins and 13 nominations to his name, Lucky has continually expanded the possibilities of contemporary R&B. From his acclaimed debut Painted to the GRAMMY-winning Table for Two, Candydrip, and Algorithm, he has built a catalog defined by fearless experimentation and emotional depth. On ALOUD!, he takes that spirit further, making one thing clear: the next chapter happens on his own terms.

ABOUT LUCKY DAY

Lucky Daye has always been an artist in motion. Long celebrated as one of modern R&B’s most meticulous craftsmen — balancing technical precision against emotional depth — the GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer has spent years expanding the genre’s boundaries while constantly evolving his own artistry. Lucky discovered his love and natural gift for music as a kid in New Orleans, first in worship and soon in the world (his name is, in part, a nod to Marvin Gaye). He followed his dreams to L.A., writing for the likes of Keith Sweat, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, and Ella Mai, before claiming the spotlight. His breakout debut, 2019’s Painted, was a seamless blur of classic soul and experimental production that earned four GRAMMY nods, including Best R&B Album. He then expanded his sonic universe across his GRAMMY-winning duets EP Table for Two, 2022’s sultry sophomore set Candydrip, and 2024’s Algorithm, which celebrated R&B’s kaleidoscopic nature with an infusion of guitar, plus cameos from Teddy Swims and RAYE. But with his fifth LP, ALOUD!, Lucky’s movement is freer than ever as he approaches music like a pro baller does the off-season: honing his craft, but ignoring expectation, embracing exploration, and enjoying the game. The title plays on the tension between “allowed” and “aloud,” rejecting the idea that artists need permission (from industry, peers, or themselves) to take risks. “I used to think I wasn’t allowed to do what I wanted,” says Lucky. “Now I'm screaming.”
