LOGLINE
When a tribal community that has never understood money is forced to buy back its own sacred deity from a ruthless corporate system, the village fool becomes their only hope.
SYNOPSIS
Deep inside an untouched forest lives an ancient tribal community whose existence is inseparably connected to nature. They worship a sacred tree called “Egwa,” believed to hold the souls of their ancestors and protect the tribe across generations.
Their peaceful world is shattered when a powerful mining corporation discovers valuable minerals beneath their land. To the outsiders, the sacred tree is merely an obstacle standing in the way of profit and industrial expansion.
Unable to understand legal systems, contracts, and corporate manipulation, the tribe desperately offers their most sacred ancestral possession in exchange for saving Egwa.
What follows is a moving and emotionally powerful journey between innocence and exploitation, faith and greed, nature and industrial ambition.
EGWA ultimately becomes a universal story about identity, environmental destruction, indigenous resilience, and humanity’s fragile relationship with nature.
